ChipmunkOS

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ChipmunkOS desktop application, plugins, and related website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ChipmunkOS is a desktop workspace for AI-assisted work. It can run tools, manage project context, and connect to third-party services that you choose. Features may change as the product develops, and some features may be identified as experimental or preview functionality.

You are responsible for obtaining compatible devices, network access, third-party accounts, and any provider subscriptions needed to use optional integrations.

3. Accounts and authorization

You may connect accounts from Google or other providers. You must have authority to use each account and to process any content you make available to ChipmunkOS. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, credentials, API keys, and connected accounts.

You can withdraw an integration's authorization through ChipmunkOS or the relevant provider. Removing authorization may prevent connected features from working.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

  • access accounts, systems, or data without authorization;
  • use the Service to distribute malware, violate privacy, infringe intellectual property, or facilitate unlawful activity;
  • misrepresent automated output as verified fact when independent review is reasonably required;
  • interfere with the Service or attempt to bypass security, permissions, or usage controls;
  • use connected data in a way that conflicts with the provider's terms or applicable law.

You are responsible for reviewing actions and generated output before relying on them, especially where an error could affect people, finances, legal rights, security, or important data.

5. Your content

You retain your rights in content you provide or connect. You authorize ChipmunkOS to process that content only as needed to provide the features and actions you request, maintain security, and comply with law.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions necessary to provide the content and to send it to any AI provider or integration you configure.

6. Third-party services

The Service can interact with third-party products such as Google Workspace, AI model providers, and Cloudflare. Those services are governed by their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and fees. ChipmunkOS does not control and is not responsible for third-party services.

7. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how ChipmunkOS handles information, including data received through Google APIs. It forms part of these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

ChipmunkOS, its branding, and original product materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party components remain subject to their respective licenses. These Terms do not grant rights to use ChipmunkOS trademarks or branding except as needed to identify the Service.

9. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every purpose. AI-generated output and automated actions can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unexpected.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChipmunkOS and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may restrict access to hosted components when reasonably necessary to address security, abuse, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service develops. Updated Terms will be posted at this address with a new effective date. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

13. Applicable law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any mandatory consumer rights available in your place of residence remain unaffected.
